Gordon Road, Nunhead

Best and final offers invited by Wednesday 3rd April.

Feast your eyes on this potential-laden doer-upper in a top spot near the centre of Nunhead. Chain free.

Gordon Road is a quiet and popular residential street of varied housing stock, which is Victorian in the main. This house is a bay-fronted terrace built in the late C19th, with three bedrooms and a sunny south-west facing garden of 80 feet.

You’ve got three Zone 2 stations within very easy reach/all circa 10 minutes by foot: Nunhead, Peckham Rye and Queens Road Peckham.

A walled front garden sets the house back from the pavement. Downstairs you have a large double-reception (running over 25 feet by over 17 feet), a kitchen/diner (of over 23 feet by over 9 feet), a downstairs w.c./shower, and a lean-to (you will likely decide to knock this down and extend over the side-return space). Currently your back door out is from said lean-to.

From the half-landing you have two double bedrooms; the second is accessed via the first and hosts a private w.c.

From the main landing, a large bathroom rests to your right - it is a seventies affair with twin basins. Finally a large twin-windowed master bedroom sits across the front of the house. It is over 17 feet by over 11 feet.

Your closest green space is Nunhead Green. In the opposite direction, you have two little parks: Consort and Dr Harold Moody. Peckham Rye Park and Common is an eight minute walk away. Nunhead Cemetery is close, too, and a bit wonderful - it is one of London’s ‘Magnificent Seven’.

For high street areas, you’ve got Nunhead and Rye Lane. Or walk a little further for East Dulwich’s Lordship Lane. What’s about? Local to you; Kudu Grill on Nunhead Lane, Kudu on Queens Road, and Peckham Bazaar on nearby Consort Road (this one is closest) are three of the hottest restaurants in SE15. Book ahead. The Bussey Building & Copeland Park and Peckham Levels are also close for the trendiest of pop-up eateries, drinkeries, exhibitions and the like. And Peckham Plex cinema remains dedicated to films for a fiver.

The ‘triangle’ at the end of Peckham Rye is busy with an ever-growing number of places to eat and hang out. Mr Bao (Asian), Voodoo Ray's and Banh Banh are all nice spots.

Bellenden Road and Rye Lane provide lots more options.

Local schools are all well-regarded and include Edmund Waller, John Donne, Hollydale, Ivydale and Bellenden primaries, and for younger ones, Banana Moon Day Nursery is local (or it’s a short drive to The Villa Nursery on Lyndhurst Grove - from two years).
