Central Camberwell is a reasonable walk or bus ride for The South London Gallery and more restaurants etc. The Camberwell Arms, Jazz at The Crypt and Theo's come recommended. East Dulwich’s Lordship Lane and North Cross Road are also easily walkable. We love the Saturday street market on the latter. 

Green space? Warwick Gardens is close, and Lettsom Gardens a short walk. Bigger open spaces include Peckham Rye Park and Common, Ruskin and Dulwich Parks. Little ones? The Villa Nursery and Pre-Prep. School is a short stroll away on nearby Lyndhurst Grove. The Belham Primary (run by Dulwich Hamlet Educational Trust) is the newest school in the area and is already proving a huge hit with local families. Walk there in 3 minutes, if that. Bellenden, Lyndhurst and Dog Kennel Hill primary schools are also well-regarded.
