It’s a short stroll to Telegraph Hill's gorgeous parks with views and a weekly Farmers’ Market (Saturdays from 10am) and also Peckham Rye Park and Common’s 113 acres. Locally, Nunhead Cemetery is a beautiful Victorian one - one of ‘The Magnificent Seven’ - with organised tours, and beautiful big trees and views. 

For more options, Camberwell, New Cross, Deptford, Brockley and Greenwich are all but a short journey.
