Fenwick Road, Peckham Rye

Bright first floor one bed Victorian conversion flat of 503 square feet. It’s a handy residential spot near Peckham Rye and East Dulwich stations (walk nine and 12 minutes to these).

Bellenden Road, Goose Green, Peckham Rye Park and Common and Lordship Lane are all delightfully-close too. What a spot! Leasehold.

A shared hall is a neat welcome (there’s one flat above you and one below) - from here, take the stairs to your own front door on the first floor. To your right of the hall is a wonderful front room (facing south-west: great light through the room all day) of over 17 feet by over 14, with big bay and additional sash window too (double-glazed). Easily zone seating, dining and work spaces here, and storage is covered in two large alcove cupboards - which meet the high ceilings.

Next door you’ll find the bedroom of over 11 feet by over 7. A big sash window features, plus built-in alcove shelving for clothes etc.

At the rear of the flat (down a few steps in the hall) you’ve got a modern internal bathroom with simple white suite, over bath shower and large profile tiling. The independent kitchen is set at the rear of the building - this is a timeless fitted white one with plumbing for the washing machine, and a double-glazed window onto green vistas.

Peckham continues to be a bit of an epic place to call home. The restaurant, bar, shop and cafe offering is particularly strong, more often than not independently run, and welcomes crowds of all ages. We particularly rate Artusi, Review, Ganapati, Levan, The Begging Bowl, Forza Wine, Tonkotsu, Mr Bao, Miss Tapas, Peckham Bazaar, Peckham Levels, and The Bussey Building and Copeland Park complex.

Lordship Lane - in the other direction - has great spots and shopping, too. We like Franklins, SMBS, Mons and Chener Books. There’s a Picturehouse Cinema as well. Useful handy high street shops and banks are found on both Peckham’s Rye Lane and East Dulwich’s Lordship Lane.

Most locally on East Dulwich Road (walk three minutes), you have a handy Tesco store and a classy parade of shops including a Hop Burns & Black, ice cream parlour and a chippy! And East Dulwich leisure centre is on this stretch.
