East Dulwich Estate, East Dulwich
Delightful top floor one bedroom flat of 524 square feet. It’s a notably bright apartment thanks to south-facing (double-glazed) windows to the reception room and bedroom. Chain free.
Enjoy a prime and quiet location - you are just six minutes by foot from East Dulwich Station (15 minutes to London Bridge), and 10 from Denmark Hill Station (15 minutes to Farringdon). Both are Fare Zone 2.
Unrestricted parking is available for residents. It’s also possible for residents to apply for bike lockers.
What a spot! East Dulwich, Peckham and Camberwell town centres are all local. Your closest high streets are Lordship Lane and Bellenden Road - walk just 10 minutes to each.
The property is set in a low-rise Southwark brick-built block, dating from the nineteen-thirties. The whole estate had an impressive and thorough overhaul in 2014 and the flat’s in great just-move-in order.
Take stairs to the fourth floor. You’ve got your own front door - always nice! You open directly into the large and light reception room (which runs 23 feet). Zone dining and seating areas easily here. The kitchen area is tucked round the corner, with a window at the far end. You've got a run of white and modern wall and base units, topped with wooden counters.
Next up is your windowed bathroom, with neat white sanitary ware, an over-bath shower, and large profile wall tiles. You also have underfloor heating (manual/timer settings).
Next door is your generous (carpeted) double bedroom, with a cubby space - which makes a great dressing area/walk-in wardrobe.
You’ll want for very little in this lovely locale. Nip down to Lordship Lane or Bellenden Road for posh coffee. Impress friends and family with the Keralan cuisine at Ganapati and the wine list at The Sourcing Table, on Bellenden Road.
On Lordship Lane we like Franklins and Yama Momo. Camberwell has great spots too: The Camberwell Arms, Silk Road, Theo's, The Crooked Well and Grove House Tavern all come recommended. Luxury groceries can be picked up at Gladwell’s and Grove Lane Deli.
There’s a big handy Sainsbury’s locally on Dog Kennel Hill plus a M&S Food Hall by ED Station, or grab some market life on Rye Lane or on North Cross Road (Saturday market).
There’s a Picturehouse Cinema in Dulwich and an independent one (Peckham Plex) on Rye Lane.
Local parks include the ‘secret’ Lettsom Gardens, St Francis Park, Warwick Gardens, Ruskin Park, Peckham Rye Park and Common and Goose Green.
