East Dulwich and Dulwich Village are close too for lots more options. Check out North Cross Road for its lovely market (and local-celeb spotting!), foodie and boutique shops.

Neighbouring Wells Park is a wonderful local green space. Dulwich Park is a pleaser all year round. As is Crystal Palace Park just down the hill. It's even got dinosaurs! Horniman Gardens and Museum are worth your weekend-time too, as is the Devonshire Road Nature Reserve and One Tree Hill (fabulous London skyline views up here).
