Camberwell has a good and improving early evening scene with a growing mix of pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants for all tastes and budgets. A handful of our favourites are Good Neighbour, The Crooked Well, Silk Road, Nandine, The Hermits Cave and The Camberwell Arms (where the food is tough to beat). 

Whirled Cinema up by Loughborough Junction (in one of the railway arches) station is worth a mention, as is The South London Gallery on Peckham Road. 

You're also within easy reach of Brixton, Herne Hill, Dulwich and Peckham too for more options, including Peckham Levels, The Bussey Building and Peckham Plex Cinema (films for a mere fiver).
