Bromar Road, Camberwell

Classy one bed first floor Victorian conversion flat on a pretty, residential street that’s close to all things Peckham, East Dulwich and Camberwell. East Dulwich Station is a six minute walk, Peckham Rye a 14 minute one, and Denmark Hill is yours in 12. Bellenden Road and Lordship Lane are each a short stroll away for independent shopping and social options. The flat is neatly turned-out with the cherry on the cake the huge reception room (of over 16 feet by nearly 12). The flat doesn’t come with outside space however fret not as Lettsom Gardens is a two minute walk away. Share of Freehold.

There are just two other flats in the building and you share a neat hall. Take the stairs and you open into a pale-carpeted hall space with the fitted, windowed kitchen straight ahead. Off to your right is the large reception room with plantation shutters to both arched sash windows to street views. Moving through the flat, pop down a couple of stairs for the bathroom set to your left. A neat affair with white sanitary ware and over bath shower. Last but not least is your double bedroom with generous fitted alcove wardrobe (plus open shelving to the other alcove). Additional storage is accessed from this room; good for storing suitcases and the like.

You’ll want for very little in this locale. Nip down to Bellenden Road for posh coffee and fresh Peckham-baked loaves at Anderson’s or The General Store. Impress friends and family with the Keralan cuisine (the lunch deal is a steal) at Ganapati, or the fine Italian food at Artusi (ditto). And it’s a short walk to Rye Lane for The Bussey Building & Copeland Park complex and Peckham Levels and Peckham Plex Cinema (films for a fiver).

There’s a big Sainsbury’s store locally on Dog Kennel Hill, or grab some market life on Rye Lane or North Cross Road. Other eating and drinking establishments worthy of note locally include The George Canning, The Phoenix, The Victoria Inn, The Hermits Cave and The Camberwell Arms. Local parks include the ‘secret’ Lettsom Gardens (a key to which is yours for a nominal annual fee), Warwick Gardens, Ruskin Park, Peckham Rye Park and Common and Goose Green.
