Kelly Avenue, Peckham

Bright two bedroom third (top) floor modern-build apartment of 644 square feet, with double-glazing throughout and a strong layout, set within an attractive low-rise development. You also have a dedicated parking space (in secured car park) and communal bike storage.

The handsome home is set between Peckham and Camberwell town centres (walk nine minutes to either) - enjoy the best of both SE15 and SE5.

You are just a 10 minute walk from Peckham Rye Station (Fare Zone 2 and on the London Overground network).

This is a quiet, no-through and solely-residential street. Your own front door is on the third floor, and once in, a handy built-in coat closet rests to your immediate left.

On your right is your first bedroom, of over 7 feet by nearly 11 feet. It doubles well as a home office, too.

Next on your right is the property’s windowed bathroom - this is a contemporary affair, with on-trend monochrome fittings and under-basin storage.

On your left of the hall is your master bedroom, of over 11 feet each way, with a generous built-in wardrobe and a Juliet balcony (east-facing, early sun).

At the foot of the hall is your large and light open-plan reception/kitchen/dining room, running over 26 feet. A Juliet balcony at one end of the room (the natural lounge area, with an accent wall in a deep hue) faces west this time, with a further window next to it.

The fitted kitchen is in a U-shape, with plenty of cupboard and counter space (and there is plenty of room for a standalone fridge/freezer).

We’ve mentioned the short walk to the station. You are well-placed for day and night buses on Peckham Road as well - whizzing you to Oval, Brixton and Elephant & Castle tube and beyond.

Local nightlife includes The Peckham Pelican, Peckham Levels and The Bussey Building & Copeland Park - the latter two are on Rye Lane. Rye Lane also serves you well for fruit and veg, and handy high street shops and banks. Other very local spots for the daytime include South London Gallery and South London Louie (cafe), and TOAD bakery (worth the queue!).

Bellenden Road is a brief stroll up Lyndhurst Way, for cafes and independent shops and restaurants. Not a chain in sight! We love Review for books, Ganapati (Keralan food at its utter finest), Artusi and The General Store. Choumert Road is also close for Petitou cafe and The Montpelier pub.

In the other direction, Cambers is quickly adding to an already-established list of greats (The Camberwell Arms, Hermits Cave, Theo’s, The Crooked Well, Nandine and Grove Lane Tavern among others) - check out Veraison Wines, Gladwell’s and Grove Lane Deli (for luxury groceries), Forza Win, Momo and Little Cellars among others.

For more options, it is but a short bus ride or cycle for Brixton, Herne Hill, New Cross and Dulwich.
